TMU students are enrolled in a dental plan through the Toronto Metropolitan Students’ Union, administered by Studentcare. We bill this plan directly, so you show your card and we submit the claim. You pay only the part your plan does not cover.

We are at 745 Bloor St West, directly across from Christie Station on Line 2.

From the downtown campus (350 Victoria St)

The nearest station is TMU Station on Line 1, formerly Dundas. Take Line 1 north to St. George or Spadina, transfer to Line 2 westbound, and ride to Christie. We are directly across from the station.

No coverage? You may qualify for the CDCP

If you do not have private or student dental insurance, you may qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan. As of 2025, residents aged 18 to 64 can apply if your adjusted family net income is under $90,000, you have filed your most recent tax return, and you do not have access to other dental insurance, including coverage through a student organization.

TMU student dental questions

Do you accept the TMSU dental plan?
Yes. We work with Studentcare, which administers the Toronto Metropolitan Students’ Union dental plan, and we bill it directly.
Yes. Ryerson is now Toronto Metropolitan University. If your card or plan still says Ryerson, it works the same way, and we bill it directly.
Most TMU students are enrolled automatically through their student fees. If you did not opt out at the start of the year, you have coverage. Call us with your details and we will confirm.
The nearest station is TMU Station on Line 1. Take Line 1 north to St. George or Spadina, transfer to Line 2 westbound, and ride to Christie. We are directly across from the station.
